Transform Tote - Air Edition

I spent an unreasonable amount of time researching work bag options that would perfectly straddle the line between professional and chic while being comfortable to carry on work trips. I had a work trip where I would be commuting by train in a foreign country, and I desperately wanted something that I could wear as a backpack, but then be able to walk into my meetings looking polished. I almost gave up when I saw a targeted ad on instagram for this bag, and never in my life have I been so appreciative for the algorithm.

I just tested her out on a weekend trip in Chicago and this tote fit my computer, chargers, planner, book, wallet, keys, water bottle, makeup, and smaller purse PERFECTLY with room to spare. Slides easily under a seat on a plane. It definitely looks like a tote bag on your back when you go backpack mode, but it's still pretty cute- and, blessedly, comfortable! I love, love, love this bag. I looked at the leather version, but the suitcase handle passthrough tilted me in the direction of this version, and ultimately, I like the fabric more- I have a sense it'll weather travel better. Also, the shipping is ridiculously fast- I got my bag in two days.

A few tweaks would make this bag perfection: the adjusters on the straps do slide pretty easily, so when you're putting it on you have to readjust each time. Once you're on, though, they stay! It would also be great to have a little loop or latch to button the outward-facing tote handle when you're in backpack mode, just so it isn't flopping around. And I've seen a few similar totes from other companies feature an attached key fob on the large interior pocket- I'm always losing my keys at the bottoms of bags, so this would be great :)

Really and truly, though, I haven't been this impressed with a product in a long time- and it was technically an impulse purchase from instagram! Pond, you have my heart and a few hundred of my dollars, can't wait to spend more.

I got the Transform Air mainly for its versatility to use as a backpack when travelling. Thr size, pockets, material and the fact that it stands upright on its own are great as well. I wish more colors were available other than bkack and pink. My one complaint is the straps to turn it into a backpack are too long, even when adjusted to its minimum length they are too long for someone that is 5"2. The distance between the top of the bag and my shoulder is too big making the bag sit higher out than the bottom part that ends closer to my body. Umcomfortable to wear and looks odd. I kept the bag because I wasctoo close to travel to return it. I ended up taking it on my overseas trip and it's pretty spacious but I'm disappointed I can't use it as a backpack. If Pond happens to consider making better adjustments to the straps to accommodate shorter clientel, I would like a pair please. Overall, it is a really nice bag.

This bag is great! I say almost perfect because, for me, it’s just a bit too small. Slightly taller and/or not tapered at the bottom would have been ideal. With a hybrid work schedule, I tend to pack up a lot to shuffle between home and office. However, anything offering the same functionality and versatility from other brands reminded me of diaper bags. BTDT and not going back! That said, this bag performed wonderfully on my first business trip with it and the backpack option was perfect while wrestling with checked bags of tradeshow samples. The length of the shoulder straps are good. I’m 5’10”, for reference. Materials and construction are excellent. Would be fun to see more colors/designs. The pink is pretty, but I think it would get dirty easily. Maybe dark body with contrast trim and liners in fun colors.

I have been searching for a work bag that is stylish and functional. I carry a MacBook Pro13in, a 16” Microsoft Surface laptop, an iPad Pro and cables, backup batteries, and a makeup bag. This bag is perfect and still room left. It has been with me everywhere! I am short at 5’ the bag look funny on my back but the handles are big enough to carry it on my shoulder. The trolley sleeve fits my Away carry on perfectly! Very well made bag. I love the protective feet. I have the pink which goes with a lot of outfits. My wish list is have navy blue or off black/ grey color. A place for phone and a hidden zipper pocket in the back by the trolley sleeves.

I've owned this bag for a little over 5 months now and I really like it. The buying and shipping experience was super fast and easy. I was hesitating to buy it at first because I wasn't sure if my computer was going to fit so I emailed the address listed for questions and they were super helpful! They researched the specifications and confirmed that my 15" laptop would fit easily into the bag. I only use it once a week so it still feels and looks new, and is comfortable to carry. In the main compartment it fits my computer, crossbody purse, small tech pouch, folded blanket scarf, headset, and small notebook. I also have all the other pockets packed with every day essentials like pens, highlighters, lip balm gloss, pads, travel toothbrush, granola bar, meds, etc.... I was concerned that it was going to be too big when I saw the dimensions, but honestly I wish it was a little bigger so I could pack even more stuff in it. I also carry a yeti 18 oz rambler bottle in the side pocket or main compartment (depending on how I pack my bag). The side pockets are a little tight and a bigger water bottle won't fit. Overall, if you're not a packrat and carry minimal things, this is a great workbag if you want to look chic and professional and be able to go from plane/metro/train to meetings and not cart 3 different bags on your commute like a homeless person. I would recommend the bag to anyone and always get compliments on my bag, if you're intentional in your organization and the items you carry, this bag will take you very far.
